A limited collection of Found & Collected, one-of-a-kind furniture and decor, is now available online to shop. Filled with true vintage goods and authentic antiques, everything in this release is inspired by Jo’s love for giving something old new life. We can’t wait to see what you find and how you carry on the story.
Confession: I’m a self-proclaimed hoarder. At least when it comes to antiques and vintage pieces. I have cupboards stuffed full of linens, hutches overflowing with glassware—all things I’ve stumbled upon and slowly collected over the years. For a while, our barn doubled as storage for my favorite antiques.
It all started with a trip to Canton, Texas about twenty years ago—a wide open space filled with vintage finds as far as the eye can see. Chip and I hit the road with a couple hundred bucks and a trailer. We were on the hunt for pieces to fill our small home and decor shop, a little store we wanted to call Magnolia. That first trip sparked in me a love of the hunt—finding and collecting unique vintage and antiques.
Over the years, I’ve used these treasures to stage homes for Fixer Upper, as displays at the Market, or I’ll find a place for them at the farm. A few come to mind easily: the antique writing desk I kept in my bedroom for years as a backdrop to write and reflect, the baptismal pool that we repurposed as our kitchen island, the found file cabinet we used recently on Season 1 of Fixer Upper: Welcome Home.
It doesn’t matter how long it’s been—for every piece of furniture or decor, old or new, I can remember the moment I first saw it, its detailing, who I bought it from, and how we’ve used it. Some pieces felt seamless, fitting right in at the right time. Others may have never been used but I kept them, always believing that their potential would one day find its purpose.
Since we moved from the Little Shop on Bosque to the Silos seven years ago, it’s always been a dream of mine to turn the Grain Barn into an “antique fair” of sorts. But only recently did the pieces start to fit together to make it happen.
So, it’s official—I’ve gone piece by piece and am so excited to be handing off these one-of-a-kind finds in hopes that you discover something that speaks to you—the same way it first spoke to me.
Here’s a look at some of the pieces we’re parting with:
You can find these pieces (and more) at the Silos! These exact ones may not still be here when you visit, but everything you do stumble upon has a story, and now you can be the one to write the next chapter.
Magnolia team, here! Before you come, here are a few good-to-knows:
